MME Sponsors

The difficult tasks we have set ourselves has been made much easier by the generous contributions from our sponsors

Picture
One of the principles of the Samling Group and owner of the Miri Marina in Brighton Bay, Troy Yaw, has been an avid supporter of ours since Southern Sun arrived here.  Through his Sea Search company, he has supported the excavation on the Viscount Melbourne and provided us with the museum contacts to help set up the maritime museum in Miri.

Chai Jee Chong, the owner of Miri Concrete, and his wife Lee have been an invaluable resource for us here in Miri and crucial part of our team.  We would not be able to keep things going without their help.

Thanks to a discount on their equipment, we were able to install a Structure ScanHD, side-scan and down-scan scanner, and a Broadband Sonar Module, echo sounder.

Ian Sharky Jones
an engineer, passionate diver and historian.
He has generously loaned us his dive compressor even though he had several offers to buy it from him.   That is because he would dearly love to be apart of our team, but of course has work commitments.
This way he is contributing.
We attended their wedding in Kota Kinabalu  and they have since had two daughters  and reside in WA
